How Do I Become a Member?

To become a member of the Council, you must submit an application to the executive director. Membership is reserved for professionals who actively practice and exhibit experience in estate planning. Applicants should list one current WEPC member as a sponsor.

Who Is Eligible for Membership?

Qualifications for admission to the Wichita Estate Planning Council include having been active in the practice of your profession on a full-time basis for at least 3 years prior to admission for membership. You must reside or have your principal place of business in Kansas.


Those eligible for membership in WEPC are:

  • Members in good standing with the Kansas Board of Accountancy or individuals who hold a CPA certificate

  • Members who are licensed attorneys in the state of Kansas and are in good standing with the Kansas Supreme Court

  • Trust officers and bank executives

  • Members in good standing with the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) or the Wichita (or local) association of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), or individuals who hold the CLU® or ChFC® designation

  • Members in good standing with the Financial Planning Association of Kansas or individuals who hold the CFP® designation

  • Other professionals in estate planning related disciplines (such as certified legal assistants, enrolled agents, executive officers of not-for-profit organizations), admitted at the discretion of the board of directors


How Much Are the Dues?

Annual membership dues are $225 and include CE credit plus meals and beverages at all meetings.
